History
1. Louisiana (10 June): Visited Myrtles Plantation and went to St Francisville, (16 June), Visited New Orleans for live jazz
2. Mississippi (11 to 18 June): Visited with Ken, fishing in the lake, visited Gulfport and Pas Christian, went gambling and lost $60
3. Cedar Key, FL (19 and 20 June): Drove around town in a golf cart, ate Tony’s award winning clam chowder, hung out with the locals.
4. Bonita Springs, FL (21 to 28 June): Stayed in Clarence’s condo, boat trip to Key west (24 June), car servicing, Naples beach, spent 2 days in the Everglades (26 and 27 June)
5. Orlando, FL (29 and 30 June): Visited Epcot at DisneyWorld, drove by Casey Anthony’s parents’ house
6. Savannah, GA (1 and 2 July): Midnight ghost walk in the old town, historic tour, ate excellent southern cooking at the “Alligator Soul” and “Ye Old Pink House”
7. Charlotte, NC (3 to 5 July): Visited Sid our 18 month old nephew, ate home cooking and relaxed with Rinki and Manoj
8. Charleston, SC (6 July): Stayed at the Battery Carriage Inn and walked around the historic town
9. Ashville, NC (7 and 8 July): Visited the Biltmore Estate and Winery (possibly found rival to Bulgarian wine), Started driving the Blue Ridge Parkway
10. Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg, TN (9 to 11 July): Updated the blog, drove past Dollywood, lots of local Bluegrass. Monroeville is awesome!
11. Little Switzerland, NC (12 July): Drove the central part of Blue Ridge Parkway and stargazing, Visited Blowing Rock.
12. Lexington, VA (13 July): Night stop on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Just more awesome driving, stopped for live acoustic performance at the Music Center.
13. Blacksburg, VA (14 and 15 July): Visited David and Gail, Went to the Virginia Tech Memorial, Wine tasting at a winery in the Blue Ridge Parkway, Introduction to the Crooked Road and Friday night Jamboree at the Floyd Country Music store.
14. Arlington, VA / Washington DC (16 to 20 July): National Mall and Memorials, Smithsonian museums, National Gallery of Art, Arlington Cemetery, Gettysburg
15. Jersey City, NJ (20 July): Amish village tour on the way here, drive to New York City courtesy Prafull
16. Boston and Salem, MA (21 and 22 July): Toured Salem, Drive to Plymouth and Cape Cod, Drove to Newport, Pub crawl
17. Portsmouth, NH (23 July): Portsmouth downtown summer festival in the streets
18. Portland, ME (24 to 26 July): Coastal drive through Kennebunkport and Scarborough, Drove to Houlton and tossed a rock over to the Canadian border, Ate lobster, House hunting in Portland, more scenic drives
19. Stowe, VT (27 and 28 July): Relaxed
20. Niagara Falls (29 July): Visited the falls, fireworks on the falls, helicopter ride over the falls
21. Erie, PA (30 and 31 July): Visited lake Erie, update the blog
22. Detroit, MI (3 to 7 Aug): Visited with family, ate, Sand dunes of MI, ate more, met our nephews Karsin and Ajay
23. Chicago, IL (8 and 9 Aug): Visited with Vince and Peggy, Met Allison and Peter, painted a model truck, ate Chicago style pizza
24. Ashland, WI (10 and 11 Aug): Visited Lake Superior, went to Duluth
25. St. Paul, MN (12 Aug): Rest day on way to the Badlands
26. Rapid City, SD (13 to 16 August): Sturgis rally, Mt Rushmore, Badlands, Custer park, Crazy Horse, Needles highway, Wildlife watching

28. Yellowstone National Park, WY (19 and 20 August): Old Faithful and other geysers, Mammoth Springs, Mud volcano, Prismatic spring, Wildlife watching
